Grossman still in picture?

With the trade deadline Monday and the rash of injuries around the league at quarterback, it would seem to be an ideal time for the Bears to shop Rex Grossman in hopes of getting a draft pick for a player whose contract expires at the end of the season. If Cleveland got a sixth-round pick from Seattle for Charlie Frye, couldn't the Bears cut a deal with, say, Carolina that would recoup something for a player who seems certain to be starting over elsewhere next season?
Not according to offensive coordinator Ron Turner, who insists he still believes in Grossman and wants him on the team.

''We need him,'' Turner said. ''That's the first I ever heard of [trade talk]. Rex is a very good player, and I still have a lot of confidence in him.''

Rex remains in the picture

Cool Re: Grossman still in picture?

The Bears should have signed Leftwich when they had the chance.

Leftwich is so in-mobile that it's scary. They need to draft a qb this upcoming year or go after a free agent in the off-season. It's for sure that Orton or Grossman are not the QB's of the future or present and Griese is not getting any younger. With the way that the top-tier college football qb's teams are falling apart this year, they may be able to get a good player at their spot in the draft.

The Bears won, I don't understand what kind of bet you could make, that would have you end up with a Packers logo. Please explain.

He bet that the Yankees wouldn't make the playoffs.

As punishment, those who lost the bet, including bears9, had to don the avatar of their least favorite teams for a month.

I bet against the Yankees and the people I bet against thought it would be funnier to see me with a Pack logo rather than A Yankees logo.
