I know the name Sid Luckman, but that's about it. McMahon gave us a Superbowl win, and he was entertaining, but I wouldn't say he was great. He was no where as good as Rex, when Rex was having a good day,never bad as Rex..... I think the next logical question is, do the Bears need a great quarterback? McMahon had the greatest, running back that there ever was, or will be, and a defense that made all the other teams wet their pants, so we didn't need one back then.

Things change...the Big D couldn't get them past the Colts...and the Texas 1st round runner is not even a poor version of Walter Payton...time to pass...if you can get a QB.

So, the next question is, If the Bears had a great quarterback, would it make a damn bit of difference? Let's just say the Colts decide to Trade Peyton Manning to the Bears for a 7th round draft choice. Hey we gave away Jones, it could happen. We now have a great quarter back. Obviously the interceptions will go down, I'll give you that, but please explain how Peyton's passes bouncing off the numbers of the receivers, is any better than Rex's passes bouncing off the numbers of the receivers.

Peyton's passes don't bounce, they stick...lol...
