Problem is the rest are not anchored by the Bears defense...when he had to perform because the D gave up points...he was flat ugly...I don't like him under pressure...having said that, yeah too early to lynch him...you got a legit point.

The are Kyle Boller (had the Ravens Defense and was still a flop) Leftwhich (lost his job) and Carson Palmer (can't agrue Rex is better than him)

I dont know if I would say that just yet, however, I think people are missing the facts, can rex throw, heck yea, he can throw the long ball great, the question is will all his good throws outweigh his INT's, personally, if anyone right now is the 2nd coming of brett, I would throw cutler in the mix..

Re: Bears @ Chargers

Hasselbeck is a good quarterback, not a great one. No, last year's numbers on him couldnt be considered average with his injury and Alexander's.
A lot of Grossman's problems could stem from his injuries. He was out way too much in the first years he should have been developing. I dont know if he is ever going to recover from that. And he had Jones back there last year. Who is their rb this year?
Its always like "Which Rex Grossman is going to show up today?" The only consistent thing about him is his terrible inconsistencies.

Gotta disagree with you there. Leftwich hasn't shown that much promise imo. Maybe a change would be good for him, but I don't see teams knocking down the door to sign him, and there are some teams that could use a #1 and a solid 2 QB right now.

Re: Bears @ Chargers

Rookie Tight End Greg Olsen will be a game time decision and if he plays it gives Rex Grossman another weapon. I think Olsen will be difference on this team from last year along with a better Rex Grossman.

Well, we wont have to worry about that. When he has a BIG year this year, the Bears will sign him to a new 4, or 5 year deal.

Re: Bears @ Chargers

The Chargers are currently 6.5 point favorites which is way to high agree?

That does seem a little high for a game like this, but hey, I wouldn't be totally surprised to see them cover.

Re: Bears @ Chargers

Where, and when did the Bears defense lose it's respect? That's what I'd like to know. If you have been listening to the media, you would think that the Bears don't stand a chance against S.D. I know M. Brown has been hurt the past couple of seasons, but if he's close to being what he was last year other than hurt, he's solid against the run. The Bears also added A. Archuleta back there. Plus, Tillman and Vasher at CB, who cover well and are known for taking the ball away. Two LB's that can get sideline to sideline, and that can tackle. I don't have to tell you who they are.

Good pass rushing D-ends, who are going to get to the QB, and a pretty soild DT in Tommy Harris.

I'll tell you what it is. The public, Vegas, and the media are banking on Grossman to lose the game. Boy, are they going to be sorry.
