They signed him to an offer sheet yesterday: 5 years, $21 million, $7.5 million of it guaranteed in the first year. Manning has nine career picks with Carolina and last season lost his starting job to Ken Lucas. Do the Panthers match? Somehow, I doubt it.

I think the Bears would be better suited spending their money on offense like a receiver for instance.

Well, Lovie's a defensive coach. But I figure they'll go offense in the draft, maybe WR or TE.
