Grossman rips former QB coach

Bears quarterback Rex Grossman praised the work of new quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton while criticizing departed coach Wade Wilson. "He's come in and specifically worked on the things I didn't do so well last year," Grossman, 27, says of the 32-year-old Hamilton, who coached with the 49ers in 2006. "Stepping up in the pocket, making sure I have two hands on the ball, going through my reads and staying balanced at the top of my drop. "To not have to do that on your own or try to make someone help you with something is just unbelievable."

Quick-name Roger Staubach or Johnny Unitas's QB coach. Rex is going to run out of excuses soon. What's next? He wasn't prepared because it was Halloween?

Yep, every time he makes an excuse like this, he's just putting more pressure on himself to step up and play error free ball. Okay, we fixed this for you - NOW can you please stop throwing into double coverage? His situation reminds me exactly of Vick's, pre-scandal days, where it was always his receivers fault, until they were replaced, then it was the line's fault, then it was... sooner or later, the guy just needs to prove that he can get the job done with some consistency.
