| Bears find a replacement for Scott and Johnson Bears trade for veteran DT Walker July 29, 2007 LAKE FOREST, Illinois (Ticker) - The Chicago Bears on Sunday have acquired veteran defensive tackle Darwin Walker from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for an undisclosed pick in the 2008 draft. Walker is tied fifth among NFL defensive tackles with 26 1/2 sacks since 2002. Originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2000 draft, the University of Tennessee product made his name with the Philadelphia Eagles. He started 15 of 16 games for the Eagles last season, tying second on the Eagles roster and sixth among defensive tackles in the NFL with 6.0 sacks, adding 56 tackles and four quarterback hurries. | Re: Bears find a replacement for Scott and Johnson Wow, didn't see that. I guess Buffalo wasn't willing to give him a long exstention, he was just traded to them this year. Lets just hope he works out, it will be great if he does. |
