Yep, well said. I'm pleasantly surprised the Bears cut him. Now let's see if any team will sign him, despite his lack of character.

He will be signed the minute his suspension is up if not sooner. Somebody will always think they can turn him around.

Re: Bears waive Tank Johnson

I didnt like this at all. The details are so vague. He was definitely speeding. They worded the rest kind of strange. Something to the effect he was maybe slightly impaired or something ridiculous like that. This whole thing stinks guys. If the test comes back that he did have alcohol in his system then I guess the Bears did the right thing. I believe the terms of his probation were zero alcohol. But right now it seems like the Bears jumped the gun.

I believe he was under a zero-tolerance policy in terms of breaking the law, and at the very least, he was speeding. Now if that's all it was, then it's a little ticky-tacky, but Johnson had to understand the possibilities. The delay between the arrest and the player's release leads me to believe that the Bears did some fact-finding before making the move. So I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I am going with ticky tacky at best. You have never looked down at the speedometer and noticed you were going a little faster than you ought? I will give Johnson the benefit of the doubt until I know more.
I am all for cleaning up the league, but sometimes in this society we have a tendency to swing too far in the other direction. I am afraid that is going to happen now and the athletes will be fair game.

Re: Bears waive Tank Johnson

So no one but me gets bad vibes from this. I dont doubt he's guilty, but still---next week they will find him guilty of sneezing in the public park or something(that's made up and exaggerated)
