Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Football Schedule

IMO the easy part of the schedule comes after the bye week. I like the Bears playing San Diego week 1 and Dallas week 3 instead of playing them in week 11 and week 13. I think Seattle is, and has been an overrated team, but that is also going to be back to back West coast trips for the Bears when they have to play Oakland as well. Two teams that look like a threat (Denver and the NYG) are at home. Than there is Oakland, Minnesota, Washington, Green Bay. Teams that are rebuilding. I'm not saying the Bears are going to run the table and go 16 - 0. The Bears will lose 3 to 5 games IMO. The big question for the Bears is going to be the defense, and can C. Benson stay healthy. There is no doubt that the Bears are wishing that they would have re-signed Ian Scott instead of taking a chance on Tank Johnson. And then there is the whole L. Briggs thing, but all in all I think the Bears will have a GREAT season this year. I'm looking forward to seeing Hester on offense and seeing what Rex will do this year. I hope Rex comes out and proves EVERYONE WRONG, and I think he has the weapons to get it done.

Welcome to the forums, Be Da Bear, and thanks for joining us. Nice breakdown of the schedule. I personally think I'm leaning more towards 5-6 losses because of Benson. Getting rid of Thomas Jones was a huge mistake in my mind, and as you say, their defense will be without some core personnel. It's going to be tough for them to repeat as NFC Champions.

Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Football Schedule

If it wasn't so sad, I'd laugh, after re-reading the above posts. I was expecting better than 13 and 3 myself. They still could go 13, and 3, if they win the rest of their games.

Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Football Schedule

Darn, darn, darn darn. Just took a peak at this to see who the bears play next. Also noticed they Play on Dec. 6. Just last night I told my wife I would take her to the Walter E. Smithe furniture store in Oakbrook on the 6th, about a 2 or 3 hour trip each way, depending on traffic. Candice Olson, is going to be there signing autographs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. All you guys who watch Divine Design will know who I'm talking about.
