Babich Replaces Rivera as Bears' D Coordinator

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears have named Bob Babich the team's new defensive coordinator, moving him up from linebackers coach. The promotion comes a day after the Bears elected not to bring Ron Rivera back as defensive coordinator for a fourth season.

Babich is in his fourth season with Chicago and previously worked with Bears head coach Lovie Smith in St. Louis and at the University of Tulsa.

So, good move, promoting Babich to replace Rivera? Considering that he and Smith have a long history together, I'd think so.
