| Re: Bears suspend Tank Johnson CHICAGO, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The Chicago Bears on Tuesday suspended defensive tackle Tank Johnson for one game following his arrest on gun charges and the nightclub shooting death of his best friend. Johnson, 25, a third-year defensive lineman, could have been dropped from the team after his third arrest in 18 months. Police raided Johnson's home in the Chicago suburbs on Thursday and he was charged with six counts of possessing firearms without a license. Hey this is the NFL darn it...they are not the NBA where one weak punch gets a star 15 games...Are the Bears going to easy on Tank? |

| Re: Bears suspend Tank Johnson This is ridiculous ... He is already on probation and has been given 2nd chances before. 1 game is garbage. I would suspend him for the rest of the year ... including the playoffs. Then ... he would be informed that the next incident, he was gone. |

| Re: Bears suspend Tank Johnson Unfortunately, if you kick him off the team, someone like the RAiders will pick him up before he gets his locker room cleaned out. Character is not a big issue in the NFL (see Ray Lewis)~! |
