Moss could take a hint from Bears' Davis

Randy Moss should sit down and read about Rashied Davis.

Except for here, Davis will never be mentioned in the same sentence as Randy Moss. Or Terrell Owens, or Chad Johnson. Or even Marcus Robinson.

Davis is 5-9 and 180 pounds and has 17 career catches. He's 27 years old and has started only two games in his two NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears. Minnesotans probably recognize the name only because it was Davis who caught the winning 24-yard touchdown pass with 1 minute, 53 seconds left in the Bears' great escape from the Metrodome back on Sept. 24.

"I'm happy," Davis told us in the visiting locker room that afternoon. "Who wouldn't be happy doing this for a living?"

Re: Chicago's Rashied Davis

This kid Davis is a former Arena League star -- "As the San Jose SaberCats' MVP in 2005, he set team records with 44 touchdowns and 264 points, and tied a team record with another six touchdowns on kickoff returns," it says here -- who just started playing WR this year. He's currently fifth on the team in catches and hauled in the game winner vs. Minnesota in Sept. What do you think of Rashied Davis?

Cool Re: Chicago's Rashied Davis

Great attitude. If all athletes could be like this..... On that note, Jonathan Vilma is at my daughter's school today..He lives in our town...He goes every year and answers questions and signs autographs. So there are still those athletes who are great guys.

Re: Chicago's Rashied Davis

It just seems like he hasn't been able to put it all together yet. He is definetely not Moose or Berrian but I think he can develop himself as a guy with sure hands who can make a big catch. I don't think he has enough speed to be the deep threat guy for the Bears and he's a little too small to be the over the top threat. Good receiver, good player...
