Compare The '06 Bears Defense To The '85 Whatcha Think?

I wonder how this defense of Urlacher, Harris, Vasher, Ogunleye, etc. compares to the '85 Bears defense of Dent, Hampton, Singletary, Marshall, etc.? I mean the '85 team was the greatest defense of all times but this years defense looks superb and the fact that the running game of Jones and Benson is sputtering suprisingly means that this defense is on the field more than the '85 team...and it doesnt matter a bit! 3 and out no matter who theyre facing. I invite some pigskin experts wiser than me to compare the 2 defenses. Soon I think everyone will!

To early to tell...would have like to see Seattle come in with a healthy Alexander. Of course they are the defense on my GTG fantasy team...so I am not complaining...

I don't know. The guys this year are GREAT, but..... I don't think I've ever seen anybody hit as hard as Dent, and let's face it: Singletary was absolutely FRIGHTENING!

Not that they are close as a team overall...but Urlacher is as good as Singletary...Singletary just had better mates...

Yeah, but Singletary had this look in his eyes that sent chills down the spines of his opponents.

I remember that famous '88 NFC Championship Game in Soldier Field (the Niner's destroyed the Bears) where Tom Rathman was shown on camera laughing while looking at Mike Singletary's "intense look."
