Backup center Nazr Mohammed—the only Charlotte Bobcats player to previously play in the NBA for Larry Brown—issued a warning to his teammates.
"There are 10 guys on the court, and he sees all 10 guys," said Mohammed, who played for Brown in Philadelphia. "You'll never get away with loafing on a play, not knowing where you're supposed to be. There are no breaks, hiding out on offense or defense. So just plan on knowing what you're doing."
And how rare is Brown's sense of the game?
"It's absolutely amazing," Mohammed said. "As a younger guy, I thought I could get away with something on a play here or there. But he sees you. You've got to think he always has an eye on you."
