The Charlotte Bobcats have chosen Dallas assistant Sam Vincent as their new coach, a person familiar with the search said Wednesday.

According to the AP, "Vincent spent the 2005-06 season as coach of the Fort Worth Flyers in the NBA's developmental league. Before that, Vincent put together a diverse coaching resume. He coached in South Africa, Greece and the Netherlands before leading the Nigerian women's team to its first Olympic victory in 2004." Good hire for Charlotte?

It could be a great move. The NBA has been getting its behind handed to them with international play. With Vincent's experience of coaching, he may be able to teach his players what the rest of the world seems to know.

I think this was a good move by the Bobcats. Obviously this Sam Vincent guy has experience being assistant and head coach in various leagues. Hopefully, he's learned a lot from his many experiences and is able to help the Bobcats move forward to success.
