CHARLOTTE, N.C.(AP) Charlotte Bobcats starting point guard Brevin Knight will be sidelined until at least the middle of next week with a strained left calf.

Knight injured the calf in San Antonio on Nov. 15 and missed two games. He said the pain has spread to his knee and doctors told him he needs to rest.

``The pain has been there. I've just playing and trying to manage it,'' Knight said Friday. ``Now it's at the point where they said I needed to stay away from the court.''

Knight, who is averaging 12.5 points and a team-best 6.8 assists per game, hopes to return for Wednesday's game at Cleveland.
