Fresh from the worst playoff passing performance since Brett Favre threw six footballs to Green Bay Packers disguised as St. Louis Rams nearly seven years ago, Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme faces no apparent consequence to his $6.325 million income for the 2009 calendar year.
(Useless trivia: Kurt Warner was the opposing quarterback in each game.)
Per Steve Reed of CarolinaGrowl.com, coach John Fox seemed to commit to Delhomme as the starter next season.
“I can’t predict what’s going to happen,” Fox said. “I don’t know where anybody is going to be next year for sure. But that’s kind of my thinking, yes. But it’s a little early to be thinking about next year. I want to get through this one first. . . . I think Jake is a hell of a quarterback who had a rough night.

Do you think Delhomme will be back? Do you think he should or shouldnt? Jake is due a $1 million dollar roster bonus the end of February. Does this have anything to do with it?
Would a better question be "Will Fox be back?"

i do think he should be back ..... yes he had a monumentally bad game ... but i think most QB's do ..... trouble is when he had this game it was win or youre done

QB's are at a premium right now ..... and Carolina will not have a high 1st round pick given where they finished the season

i do think he is a good QB that just had his bad game at the wrong time
