Re: Carolina Panthers preview

Hey if the Carolina Hurricanes can win the Stanley Cup, why can’t the Carolina Panthers win the Super Bowl?

Actually, they can. They are that good.

The Panthers have reached the NFC championship game two of the past three years and look strong enough to do it again this season. Certainly those betting early at the Las Vegas Hilton share that belief.

The Hilton has an NFL regular season over/under win prop. Carolina has been bet up from an opening 9 ½ wins to 10.
I certainly understand the move even though the Panthers play 10 games against opponents who finished .500 or better. The Panthers are one of the few teams without a glaring weakness.

Anyone else agree that the Panthers are Super Bowl bound?

Re: Carolina Panthers preview

I can think of a few others who think Carolina is Super Bowl bound:
Panthers consensus pick to be NFC Champions

And why not? They certainly seem to be the most talented NFC squad on paper. As long as there's no major injuries and everyone plays up to expectations, they definitely should make it. Panthers are most certainly the odds on favorite.

Re: Carolina Panthers preview

As a panther fan i agree that this year's team has a great shot of getting back to the super bowl...as long as Foster can stay healthly and Keshawn proves to be a soild number 2 reciever, were going back...CJ

Re: Carolina Panthers

Another good look at the 2006 Carolina Panthers, one that asks the all-important questions: "Given their volatile personalities, can Smith and Johnson co-exist?" As long as the team's winning, yes. If things start to go south, though, all bets are off.
