Carolina Panthers changes

Panthers are feeling good about their chances this season. Here's a few reasons why.
  1. Favorable schedule
  2. Moose is back. He may be slower now but he makes up for it in experience and route running ability. Good locker room presence and the right guy to bring along Dwayne Jarrett
  3. They signed one of the better available receivers, D. J. Hackett
  4. Signed power back LaBrandon Toefield and drafted Jonathan Steward
  5. Made a steal on the no. 1 rated inside linebacker Dan Connor They dont need him but hey, a steal is a steal.
  6. Delhomme looking better every day
  7. Drafted a super athletic TE Gary Barnidge giving Delhomme another target
  8. Otah is practicing
  9. Defense needed speed, added Ian Scott, Darwin Walker
  10. Added a sharp looking possible DB Charles Godfrey
They still need another DE. Maybe Jason Taylor???

This one is for you Stoney. Do you see anything in here that might be optimistic for your team at all??

  1. Favorable schedule= True
  2. Moose is back. He may be slower now but he makes up for it in experience and route running ability. Good locker room presence and the right guy to bring along Dwayne Jarrett= Can you say Probation Officer?
  3. They signed one of the better available receivers, D. J. Hackett= Who?
  4. Signed power back LaBrandon Toefield and drafted Jonathan Steward= One is injured and I don't know if Toefield can back up his mouth.
  5. Made a steal on the no. 1 rated inside linebacker Dan Connor They dont need him but hey, a steal is a steal.= Replacement for Dan meet Dan
  6. Delhomme looking better every day= One would hope so
  7. Drafted a super athletic TE Gary Barnidge giving Delhomme another target= Never heard of him.. that doesn't mean anything or does it?
  8. Otah is practicing= That has to be a positive
  9. Defense needed speed, added Ian Scott, Darwin Walker
  10. Added a sharp looking possible DB Charles Godfrey= New crop any real studs? I don't know.
They still need another DE. Maybe Jason Taylor???= Definately

Jason Taylor is a must have DE this season if the Panthers hope to be a contender for the playoffs.

Stoney, I think you're overrating Taylor, if he made the difference between a playoff team and a non-playoff team, then the Dolphins would've made the playoffs the last 6 years.

He may make the diff on the Panthers, but couldnt possibly on the Dolphins. Dolphins are in much worse shape than the Panthers.

And Stoney, I enjoyed your comments

Like Bette says, he can be the difference maker for the Panthers while not being able to single-handedly carry the Fins into the playoffs.
A defensive end can be the final piece to the puzzle, but in Miami, there were way too many other pieces missing.

Re: Carolina Panthers changes

Taylor and Peppers would both benefit from Jason playing in Carolina. It would force teams to rethink the blitz packages.
