Is run at playoffs possible for Panthers?

Its not so crazy to think playoffs for the Panthers. Peter King has them rated at No. 10. If Jake's elbow is healed, Peppers plays like Peppers and first round pick Jonathan Stewart stays healthy, the Panthers have a real shot. Receiver Jason Carter is dazzling everyone at practice. The offensive line is huge. They arent all starters but here are the largest players at each position: tackles Jeff Otah(339)Geoff Schwartz(331)guards Toniu Fonoti (340) and Milford Brown (330), and center Geoff Hangartner (301).All except Hangartner are new to the team.

I dont think its so crazy at all. Do you?

Re: Is run at playoffs possible for Panthers?

I think I would be a little surprised. Coming in, it seems like both the Bucs and Saints are better teams, and I can't see three contenders coming out of the NFC South division. Tampa Bay does have questions at the quarterback position, and the Saints likewise at tailback, but I still think, position for position, they are both better teams than Carolina, on paper anyway.

Re: Is run at playoffs possible for Panthers?

I for one would be in total shock if the Panthers won more than 8 games and even got a sniff at the playoffs. The management made some real bonehead moves during the offseason in my humble opinion. Personally I think that Bill Cowher is waiting in the wings to take over the franchise.
