The first two picks seem somewhat reasonable. After that FOX/HURNEY have self-destructed. We had needs that we could have addressed but we didn't. Why take a slow-footed OT who didn't play with intensity or even play in a competitive conference? For the life of me I just don't understand why they chose the losers who won't even be on the team come August. They wasted the Draft as usual.

Okay, here is my opinion, they didn't totally blow the draft like you said, Jeff Otah is a good player, and they got two damn good values for day two.

Charles Godfrey is a damn DB, and Dan Connor and flat out play, no matter what scouts say.

They had a solid draft.

Come on let's be honest... I know we cannot go back and undo what the Panthers did but....

1st. Jeff Otah OT
2nd. Jacob Hester FB
3rd. Charles Godfrey DB
3rd. Dan Connor LB
3rd. Matt Flynn QB

If they had of done it this way they could have had Shockey for next season's 1st pick or Jason Taylor. Dude they blew it and badly Stewart won't be on the team in three years.

I don't disagree that was a lot to give up for Otah, but I do disagree with your opinion of Stewart. I think he is going to be a great NFL back. Give the kid a break. I think you will like him after next season.

Stoney, you seem to be awful down on Stewart. I know for a fact the Steelers had him ranked high on their draft board. They know running backs in Pittsburgh, so if I were you, I'd wait and see just what kind of athlete you have before declaring him a bust. He's a little dinged up, but they say the toe should be fine, so... wait and see.

The Panthers should have taken two O-Linemen with those first two picks. Then they could have addressed the issue with a FB Jacob Hester who will now go on to San-Deigo and be a special player. Again They could have had QB Matt Flynn but let him go to Green Bay. With thier 3rd third round pick they took a TE. After that it is pretty much a crap shoot although since they had 3 seventh round picks I thought they should have taken the following Wallace Gilberry DT, DJ Hall WR, Simeon Castille CB. But hey what do we the fans know? We know how to spot real talent.

Call me a pessimist but The Alabama Crimson Tide will have more wins this season than the Carolina Panthers. How long before Bill Cowher is introduced as the Head Coach?
