Should the Panthers try to move up?

This is the BIG question should Carolina try and move up? If they can get a trade to get Darren McFadden I think they should. The guy is a franchise player and since Stephen Davis got gone so has Carolina's running game.

Here is the way I see things as a GM

Trade up for Darren McFadden RB Arkansas

2nd Jacob Hester FB LSU

3rd Matt Flynn QB LSU

4th Wallace Gillberry DT Alabama

Hold open tryouts for Offensive Linemen.

Lastly give Shawn Alexander a shot.

Re: Should the Panthers try to move up?

I've heard that they're trying to move up, Stoney, but not for McFadden but rather for Matt Ryan. That's the rumor floating around, anyway.

I've heard the same thing, if Ryan falls past Atlanta (which he most likely will), the Panthers could possibly move up to number 7, by trading with the Pats, that would get them ahead of the Ravens who are sitting at eight, can probably get them Matt Ryan.

Stony, you mentioned Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, you could probably get Hester in round 5 or 6, and Flynn in round 7. You'd be burning day one picks if you took them in rounds 2 and 3.

What I am saying is Ryan is not anything the Panthers need. I think Hester and Flynn are two pieces of the puzzle that the Panthers need regardless of where they take them. By the way I heard through the rumor mill the Panthers are talking to Jeremy Shockey's agent about a trade.
