| Panthers reach deal with WR Hackett The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver D.J. Hackett on a two-year, $3.5 million contract, according to the Charlotte Observer. Hackett, who spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks, has battled injuries throughout his career. Last season he missed 10 games while compiling 32 catches for 384 yards and three touchdowns. The Sports Network - National Football League

| Re: Panthers reach deal with WR Hackett It seems they do like picking up injured players. And paying too much. Free agent signings just not good things, most of the time. Unless you get a disgruntled Randy Moss and he turns into Mr. Sweetness. |
