What are we waiting for?

Free agency is here and there have been no big blockbuster signings other than panthers leaving. What are we waiting to see? The draft? I just don't get Fox/Hurney and thier strategy. The status quo will not do and signing one lineman is not going to fix the problem. What are we waiting for? Oh maybe we can sign Brett Farve... yeah that's thier plan.

So who do you want them to go after, Stoney? Play GM for us and give us your dream offseason for Carolina.

Youre not the only one Stoney. :

Carolina Panthers fans are well past the point of frustration. Most of them are downright ticked off.

And who can blame them?

Last Friday, they waited anxiously for the start of free agency, checking various websites throughout the day anticipating their team would make a big splash in free agency.
The splash never came.

In fact, five days into free agency, the Panthers have barely made a ripple, adding only cornerback Ricardo Colclough and guard Keydrick Vincent, two signings that were greeted by fans with a collective, “Who?”

With each passing day, the frustration grows.
Michael Turner, Alan Faneca, Justin Smith, Dante Stallworth, and Bernard Berrian are among the names that the Panthers have passed on.

So who's left Stoney that you think they should go after?

Takeo Spikes would be a nice start.

Yeah, seriously. What were they thinking, cutting this guy? Carolina definitely could use a stud like him.

Cool Re: What are we waiting for?

I think that LB Landon Johnson is a darn good pickup and he agrees to 3-year deal at that.

Re: What are we waiting for?

We need a Tight End that can play at Pro-Bowl status as well as a QB I just don't see Jake coming back at full strength.

Re: What are we waiting for?

Take Notre Dame's Carlson in the draft... that's probably your best at tight end right now. And how about Chris Simms at QB?

No to Chris Sims .... however Brody Croyle could be traded for at KC. He did have the highest score on the wonderlick test. The next QB needs to be young strong smart and have a shotgun for an arm.

Hmm... I thought Croyle's arm was suspect?

Nah he just needed time to watch and learn... Carolina needs him now.

Re: What are we waiting for?

If I were the GM

TE Ben Utecht {Colts} might work or Ryan Krause {Packers}
LB Takeo Spikes {Eagles}

I would trade for QB Brody Croyle {Chiefs}

Now then Draft wise

Matt Flynn QB LSU unless I trade for Croyle
Second pick a CB or OL depending on who's left.
The rest of the rounds best athletes at thier positions.

What do you think of the RB the Panthers signed, LaBrandon Toefield, Stoney?

I feel your pain. This is the first time that I remember the Browns making this big of an attempt to improve their team with free agents. I was tired of seeing eveybody else get the better players. I am not a big Spikes fan, but I like your other ideas to improve the team. What do you think the chiefs would want for Croyle.
