No, so far they resigned Orton and Grossman. If I were them, I'd have to go to the draft. Now signing Carr INSTEAD of one of the other guys? That would've made more sense. At least you're trying something different there, rather than just beating your head constantly off the same old brick walls.

That's all I am saying...and yeah, draft someone.

Now see, I am totally with you on this. I think when they throw them to the wolves too soon, frequently they just dont develop right. I think thats what happened to Patrick Ramsay in Washington. The problem is, even with the right coaching and the right line protecting them, they just dont seem to ever get completely over it. But they can improve.
And Matt Schaub had some experience when he got to the Houstons.

I am not saying it will work, but what would the Dolphins have to lose to give Carr a shot. They don't have anybody capable at that position now.

A Cowboys and Giants fan agreeing. What next? The Hatfilelds and the McCoys finally making amends?

Re: Panthers Cut Carr, Sign Moose

David Carr hears footsteps at the grocery store. He is done as a professional QB. Once he was scared by the nightterrors of DT and LB and S and FS blitzes he lost his confidence I think he is totally screwed. Just like it is difficult to overcome trauma of a physical nature the trauma from emotions like fear are far more devestating. But he has a double dose of primal fear coupled with physical reinforcement. Some people can never face thier fears and that my friends is where David Carr is right now.

Hey! Its the off season. I'm pretty mellow now. It changes when it gets into the heat of the battle.

They went with McCown...but it would not hurt to bring in Carr to push the kid.

David Carr will be on one NFL team's roster come september, I mean can that be disputed?

Yes, after last seson's performance all any player personell director has to do is watch him panic on last seasons gametapes. Then that will be the deciding factor.

Aw c'mon Stoney even if he turns into another Rick Mirer he'll still be an NFL QB. As to the level of quality he'll play that's up for dispute but David Carr will be on some team come september. Quarterbacks that are even partially competent are a rare breed these days and Carr is not THAT bad.

Nope. Deep down, he's still got that raw talent. Someone will try to yank it out of him, and who knows, maybe someone can.

QB's are fragile mentally. Carr has his confidence shattered I would be willing to bet he flinches everytime the ball is hiked in practice. He is damaged goods. Anybody that takes him is beyond desperate.

He did look a little gun shy last season, but can you blame him. He had his butt handed to him for about 5 years straight. He may have to go to a team that historically has a good O-Line....maybe somebody like the Steelers.
