Stephen Davis plans to sign a contract with Carolina to retire as a Panther. The honorary move is expected to become official today.
"Even though he played longer with the Redskins, Stephen wanted to retire a Panther," his agent, David Canter, said Tuesday. "There were a lot of different reasons, but it's mainly a testament to the Richardson family , general manager Marty Hurney and coach (John) Fox. They are among the classiest people he's ever been around."

I didn't realize Davis hadn't officially retired already. He was a real good back, albeit for a short time. If only he could've stayed healthy.
