The Carolina Panthers plan to explore the possibility of signing TE Algae Crumpler once he is officially on the NFL waiver list, sources say.
Crumpler was a Pro Bowler 4 times in his 7 seasons with the Falcons. He had 42 catches for 444 yards, 5 TDs, which was the second lowest production as a pro. He was inactive 2 games, and frequently missed practice because of knee problems.
