Will the Panthers raid the Cowboys roster?

They cant beat them on the field lately, but maybe the Panthers can beat the Cowboys this off season. Many of the positions the Cowboys have as free agents coincide with Panther needs.
Running back: Marion Barber will probably be locked up but that leaves Julius Jones.
Left tackle: Flozell Adams Cowboys could put a franchise tag on him if they cant get a deal done
Defensive end: Chris Canty Cowboys might put a high tender on him
Free Safety: Ken Hamlin Dont know how the Panthers missed on this one the first time around
Wide receiver: Terry Glenn The Panthers could do worse
It just might be that a player with a star on his helmet this Sunday could be wearing Panther blue next season.

Getting any one of these guys could really be sticking it to a NFC opponent.

They had to have known they were not going to keep Jones. They should have tried to make a deal during the season to get something for him. He has not been great, but they could have gotten something for him.

Naw, Jerry Jones will keep the key players and the rest will go to the highest bidder...how are the Panthers looking cap wise?

It was quoted that they could have as much as $20 million with a few tweaks.
Steve Smith's new contract last may gave them some. They filled the contracts of Na'il Diggs and Jason Carter with special team incentives they couldnt reach. Peppers not making the Pro Bowl freed some and now they have to make a few roster cuts.

Barber, Hamlin, Flozell would all be great pickups. I wouldn't touch Glenn at this point in his career, though. Go to the draft instead.

Well, I think the first three ought to stay right where they are. They can have Glenn.

Yep, I think it will come down to that...Dallas is knocking on the door of the Super Bowl..they will protect what they got...like they did Jason Garrett.

I tend to agree. The problem is, they need to protect these guys AND improve in certain areas. Do they have the cap room to accomplish both?

As of December 2007, the Cowboys were 20.61 million dollars UNDER cap with 40 players under contract.
