Jake Delhomme begins throwing in rehab

Jake Delhomme led the Carolina Panthers in touchdown passes last year, despite playing all of two and a half games before an elbow injury put him on injured reserve. That was the bad news. The good news is that 16 weeks after having Tommy John surgery, Delhomme is throwing without pain in rehab.
The team is starting to believe that he has a shot at being ready at the start of training camp.

Recovery is usually about 18 months for this surgery in baseball. Could it be less for a QB since they don't throw as much or hard as a pitcher.

Re: Jake Delhomme begins throwing in rehab

Will he start for the Panthers next season, or will they keep using the rookie, who has proven himself so far.

That will depend on whether or not he gets healthy in time, Seahawker.
After that, I dont know.
Need some help from Panther fans here. Do you foresee a battle for the starter position here???????
