I knew this would get your attention, but the Panthers have signed Vinny Testaverde who is the only player that has been in the league since the NFL and the AFL merged back in 1966. The Panthers have young QB's, so he has either come in to mentor them or step in if they can't handle the fire.

Nobody comes immediately to mind. Tim Couch is hurt and suspended. Is Tim Rattay on a roster anywhere?

Ratay was signed by the Cardinals. The Cardinals also signed Matt Baker who used to play for UNC. He was the 3rd qb at Dallas last year behind Romo and Bledsoe and could have been a good pickup by the Panthers. He has a strong arm and can move around in the pocket real well.
