Panthers fans want to bench Jake Delhomme? Are they CRAZY?

Delhomme optimistic about the Panthers' immediate future

There's a flip side to being a Cinderella story and the most recognizable face on the team. Delhomme might be seeing it for the first time. A season that began with rampant Super Bowl predictions has turned into a 6-5 start in which the Panthers have been wildly inconsistent.
"Everything has pretty much been hunky-dory since we've been here," Delhomme said, "and right now we're up and down. We have to fight through it. The tough times, they don't last long, and you have to fight through them. You can't let it get the best of you."
The Panthers didn't get the best of the Redskins, in part because Delhomme threw two crucial interceptions.
That has been the story more often than Delhomme and the Panthers would like this season. Although his statistics (218 completions on 367 attempts for 2,239 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions) aren't much different than the pace of previous seasons, his mistakes have seemed more pronounced.

No way I'd bench him in favor of Chris Weinke. He's been too good over the years; let him ride it out. What does everyone else say?
PS - I should note that another forum user posted a thread on this topic and I somehow accidentally deleted it. To that user... I am SO sorry!
