Good for Peter. He deserves it. Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, I'm sure he's making a pretty penny.

Five years for Peter Laviolette, five years for Rod Brindamour, and five years for assistant coaches Kevin McCarthy and Jeff Daniels too. Definitely just reward for setting franchise records for wins (52), home wins (31) and points (112), not to mention bringing home a Stanley Cup. I think I'd want to lock up my coaching staff and my captain for as long as possible, too!
