| Hurricanes sign David Tanabe According to Pa. Sportsticker, "Looking to shore up things along the blue line, the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday agreed to terms with defenseman David Tanabe on a two-year, $1.5 million contract... An unrestricted free agent, Tanabe attended training camp with the St. Louis Blues but was released from his tryout agreement prior to the start of the season. Pending league approval, he will be eligible to join Carolina's lineup Saturday night at Washington." Good signing for Carolina? Hurricanes agree with D Tanabe on two-year deal - NHL - Yahoo! Sports
