NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Johnny Benson will be with a new organization in 2009 when the veteran moves to the Red Horse Racing Team to defend his series title.

Benson will pilot the team's No. 1 Toyota and team with David Starr for the 2009 season.

“It’s fantastic,” said team co-owner Tom DeLoach. “I’m looking forward to it. I think Johnny and David will work together really well and I expect good things out of both of them. We have one team and we’ve got two drivers. … Johnny is such a fantastic guy to work with – very analytical, very thoughtful.

“I’m just looking forward to working with him. It will be sweet for Red Horse. I’ve wanted to run two trucks for a couple of years and couldn’t get pieces put together and finally got it done.”

Benson's crew chief Tripp Bruce will follow him to Red Horse.

Sounds good. How about a sponsor. Zachary said they were leaving after 2008? Any word if Red Horse got them re-signed? For Benson, as well as Starr?
