End of the road for BHR

Bobby Hamilton Racing-Virginia will cease operations at the end of the week, Lori Shuler Hamilton, chief operating officer for the NASCAR Truck series organization, confirmed Monday. The team, started by the late Bobby Hamilton, moved from its base in Nashville, Tenn., to Martinsville, Va., after the 2007 season with partners Clay Campbell, Stacy Compton, Mac Bailey, Mark Melling and Joey Arrington joining the ownership group. Details of what will happen with the trucks and the equipment are still to be determined, Hamilton said. The team's sponsorship from Dodge ended after the 2008 season. The organization started the season with two trucks but cut back to one during the year. Dennis Setzer finished eighth in points and earned a win at Martinsville - the 20th win for the organization since its inception in 1999.(SceneDaily.com)(11-24)

Sad to see Bobby's team go away...

That is sad. I wish Bobby Jr had gotten the team. Sure didn't take her long to kill the team.

That's very dissappointing. I hate to see his legacy go up in smoke...

Re: End of the road for BHR

Bobby Jr. had it right when he bailed out last year, saying the way the operation was headed was a road to failure.

It's a shame to see what Bobby Sr. built go away.

I am heart broken! I am not sure if the problems were from the demise of Bobby Sr, or from a really nasty economy, but it is sad none the less!

I think you'll find it is a result of the former. Mrs. Sr. had not a clue how to run a race team.

Re: End of the road for BHR

True! And since it seems like BH, Jr may have a financial interest in Team Rensi, we will see if the Jr can do better than his step-mother.

(have I heard this refrain before?)
