| Re: A look back at what was a dramatic '08 Truck season I think the really BIG story in the Truck Series was the large increase in viewers for 2008. This is especially significant in light of the facts that:
(a) Cup and Cup Lite viewing was down significantly.
(b) Cup gets the vast majority of the advertising
(c) The Cup and Cup Lite races are televised on the major networks and/or on ESPN, an established sports network. The Truck Series is televised solely on what some might term a secondary cable network, Speed, a channel many don't get in their basic cable package.
Yeah, the races were almost uniformly exciting. The championship was a nail-biter and not decided until the last race of the season. Seriously folks. Isn't this only what we expect from the Truck Series? Why was it news? It's just normal. If they would have had this type of action in Cup... Now THAT would have been worthy of a new story.
