| Sprague out of #2 truck Sprague out of No. 2 KHI truck, Harvick in for now By Team Release October 6, 2008 04:48 PM EDT KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- Kevin Harvick Inc. announced Monday that Jack Sprague has been released from the No. 2 Chevrolet. KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick will assume driving duties of the No. 2 for the upcoming Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway on October 18th. Details on the driver lineup for the remainder of the season will be announced at a later date."The performance of the No. 2 team was not up to either Jack or KHI's standards," said Kevin Harvick, co-owner of Kevin Harvick Inc. "My main goal now is to prepare the team to run for a championship in 2009. I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel in Martinsville. It should be a lot of fun." Sprague, a three-time Truck Series champion, joined KHI this season and was eighth in the championship following last weekend's race at Talladega. Sprague, who was eliminated from the last two Truck races in accidents, had a pole position, five top-five and nine top-10 finishes in 20 races this season. nascar.com

| Re: Sprague out of #2 truck In my opinion, Harvick made a mistake by making Sprague and Hornaday Jr. team mates. Some people just do not play well with others. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was one. Cale Yarborough was another. Ditto Junior Johnson. Add Jack Sprague to the list. The only surprise here is that he stuck around as long as he did.
