| 2007 Cal Football Season Tickets BERKELEY - California football fans that did not have season tickets in 2006 will have their first opportunity to purchase Golden Bear season tickets on Thursday, March 15, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Season-ticket renewals have continued to sell at a record pace in 2007. Through this weekend, Cal has renewed 9,151 season tickets, a 12.5-percent increase over the same period last year. Cal students can purchase 2007 student season tickets on Thursday as well. | Cal Sets Single Day Football Ticket Sales Mark BERKELEY - The California football team will certainly be enjoying a home field advantage this season in Memorial Stadium thanks in large part to the record number of season ticket holder renewals that began in February, and now a new one day record of 2,857 tickets sold in the first day of sales to the general public on Thursday, as announced by the Cal athletics department. The 2,857 tickets sold more than doubles last year's first day ticket sales of 1,123. Moreover since February 27, the department estimates that there is an average of 500 season ticket renewals per day. Last season, Cal sold its 30,000th season ticket on July 15th, while that milestone for the 2007 season was passed this week.
