next up preds

the predators are touring western Canada.
Iginla is one goal shy of becoming the Flames' all-time leader - 364 goals in 10-plus seasons with the team, tying him with Theo Fleury.
Flames are 2-1-0 vs. Nashville this season.

Re: next up preds

Wow, that's impressive. Had no idea Iginla's been around long enough to amass so many goals. Think he'll get the record tonight, blue?

Re: next up preds

I'm going out on a limb and saying, Yes. the boys on the team'll be helping him out for sure.
He is such a nice guy, Iginla. I hope he gets a hat trick.
and yeah, who thought he'd been around that long-he seems like a kid still-he's been a Flame since the '96/97 season.

Re: next up preds

Theo Fluery was a bit tempered and couldn't have a lot of games to score, right? So why the hell is he the all time scoring?

Re: next up preds

Fleury was a very strong player for a while - he was on our gold medal winning team back a few Olympics with Mario.
He had an alcohol problem - I also heard he wasn't healthy due to Crohn's but not positive. He did have that Little Man anger about him where he wanted to take on the world if they looked at him funny. But he had some great seasons in his career.

Re: next up preds

No goal for Iginla and he stays put at 364- I didn't call it.
OT loss, 2-1 with Conroy scoring for the Flames.
36 shots on Kiprusoff.
Calgary stays tied with Minnesota on top of the Northwest Division (the Wild lost to Atlanta).

Re: next up preds

Well, maybe next time. I kind of thought he'd get it last night, too... but then, sometimes these milestones take a while, cause the pressure's on.
