Flames G Miikka Kiprusoff

Yahoo! Sports is calling G Miikka Kiprusoff the Calgary Flames player to watch this season. According to the website, "Kiprusoff has won at least 40 games in each of his last two seasons, but his GAA rose to 2.46 in 2006-07 from 2.07 the previous campaign. The Flames do not have a proven backup among Brett Krahn and Curtis McElhinney, so the Flames could go as far as Kiprusoff takes them." What do you think?

Tall order for a goalie these days to get in there 65-75 games...I am hoping the fall apart and make the Blue Jackets look good...but yeah +40 plus wins...you got to ride that horse till it falls apart.

Re: Flames G Miikka Kiprusoff

They just signed Kiprusoff to a 35 mill, 6 year extension.
So Flames nailed down their three soon to be unrestr. free agents - Kiprusoff, iginla and regehr - before they had to go to the table on it. All necessary elements to a Flames championship.
