Cougars QB Max Hall has some big shoes to fill, replacing John Beck as the BYU quarterback.

Can he do it? "Max is just becoming more patient and poised each day," coach Bronco Mendenhall told reporters recently. "As the rush is coming around him, and he is getting decent pressure, it's not affecting him, or it's affecting him less and less each day. He is able to be patient if the first is covered, to find the second and if the second is covered, to still maintain his poise and composure."

This is the nephew of former Cowboy QB Danny White... he was a prep star over in Arizona, and transfered over from Arizona State. Not a big kid but a bit older and more mature than most college players since he took two years off for a church mission. I think he will fit in at BYU.

Fascinating, had no idea he was related to White. Good genetics... wonder if Uncle Danny taught him anything about quarterbacking.

Yeah, you gotta know he must of...and QB is a position where pedigree helps a lot...look at the Mannings...and Phil Simms has two sons who are QBs...etc...there are a host of prep stars coming up who's fathers etc were NFL QBs...something is being passed along.
