Adam mair was awarded a $675,000 contract for this upcoming season by arbitrators. The sabres are really hurting for $$ with the arbitrators granting so many big contracts to the players. The interesting thing about mair's contract is, because it is under $1.4 million, the sabres have to automatically accept it.
And since they already decided ahead of time on briere, they have to now figure out how to pay for Dumont - or unload him onto some other happy team.
Their payroll last year was a total of $29 mill. It's ballooned after this season. Ah, the problem with being successful...
