| briere stays a sabre They went for Briere's 5 mill (that's 3 mill more than last season), one year contract before the Aug 4 deadline, and now Dumont's high ticket price plus Mair's arbitration outcome is up in the air - Sabres officials are saying they had no thought of turning co-captain Briere out to another team. They'll probably try to tie him down later this season when he'll come up for free agent-ism.      |
