3-2. It was good at the end, Ward pulled in final minute as Carolina tries to make it 3-3, but no such luck (special thanks to Miller).
Fast sabres. too hard to catch. It was an afternoon game, so i missed alot (family obligations), put it on in the background and watched out of the corner of my eye.
Numminen went down with a twisted knee and didn't return? Why you may ask? because I picked him for my final pool team, that's why. I have the worst luck - next to Numminen himself.
This is better hockey now, both match ups. Close. The way i like it and lookee the Sabres beat the trap.
Of note from The Star website:
Had the Hurricanes managed to tie the game with a late flurry, it would have gone to overtime and NBC, which was carrying the game in the U.S., would have bailed on the telecast because of the Preakness Stakes. The game would then have moved to the Outdoor Life Network, which apparently has something like a 9 per cent market penetration in western New York.

That would have sucked.

Ah heck, I can never find these things on TV these days...I better go look at a TV Schedule. I am being to like the American keeper Miller though...I wonder if they would have bailed on a Stanley Cup final the same way...and why don't they jsut have an option button that you can hit and pick your coice of telecast?
