| What the Sabres need I am no expert, but this team needs something. Consistancy, confidence, leadership, SOMETHING!! I have never been so frustrated with a team as I have this year. If the Sabres make the playoffs, they probably won't go far, although the path to the cup finals are really open this year. I think, more than anything, this team needs a captain. Someone like Michael Peca. Oh, I know he's not the same player from 8 years ago, but someone like him. A gritty two way player, someone who plays hard every night. These guys need some on ice leadership and hopefully someone will step up or maybe the front office will acquire a leader. I don't know, but that's just my opinion. |

| Re: What the Sabres need No. They have leadership. Hecht, Pomers. If a goalie could be captain, my choice would be Miller. He carries this team on his back!!! What they really need is defense. They don't need offense much because they have Vanek, Roy, Connolly (Even though he rarely plays), Bernier, and Stafford. We need a good, hard hitting defensman, like Nolan Pratt is. Just a bit harder on the hitting. Sekera takes care of the big, tough superstars like Ovechkin (Even though he scored twice he could've scored A LOT more). A better back up would be nice and better defense.

| Re: What the Sabres need Yes, they need help on the blue line as well. Despite their level of talent, there should be more consistancy. This team should be scoring more consistantly, and turning the puck over less. The turnovers are a glaring example of mental preparation. If Jochen Hecht or Pominville are such good leaders on the ice, why are'nt one of them wearing the "C" and the other an "A"? Three consecutive home losses should raise alot of questions about the hearts and minds of this hockey team. |
