The Buffalo Sabres won in OT tonite to win their Conference. I never thought that Ottawa who played so great the whole season would lose to Buffalo. There is only one Canadian team left since Buffalo took out Ottawa tonite. I guess I was wrong about Canadian hockey after all.

I don't know, did they? The Sens have problems in the post season, no doubt about it. Great game, again. Will miss the Buff/Sens matchup because it's been close and nailbiting.
I say, Ott should get rid of Alfredsson. I'm not talking numbers here, he's one of the better players out there (except he didn't put up many points post himself) but who can't lead them into a winning post season? Maybe Sundin can't get the Leafs into the post season at all, but he wasn't captain of one of the best teams in the entire league.

Amazing. Let's see, the Sabres rid themselves of 2 of their main players: Mirsolav Satan and Alexei Zhitnik and they go to the conference finals. Oh -who paid those 2 players a ton of money as free agents? Mike Milbury and the Islanders. Also, as an aside - Tim Connolly was traded to the Sabres for Peca. (To be fair to Milbury it was a good deal at the time).

Okay so they don't play well in the post season...but was it more of match up probably with Buffalo?...was it Miller getting hot?...or did they really just choke and should have easily won?

I think they left it all warly in the season...didn't peak in time for the post season...
