It's mostly good news - I hate to sound like the proverbial broken record but Connolly was my sure thing pick for my pool - guess who left minutes into the first period with as consussion - he was helped off the ice and later they said he was suffering from an "upper body injury".
Duh.
I'm some kind of jinx.
Apparently, this is one of many in a series of concussions for him (a la Lindros-they even likened the hit to Lindros hit by Stevens that playoffs) so I'm thinking, Connolly is gone.
He is such a great player to watch.
Oh well. I should just remember, the Senators lost and the Sabres won, even though they were outplayed and most definitely outshot.
This Miller - he's something.
One play i saw had a two on one for Ottawa and the puck was passed to Alfredsson except he was thinking, 'Man my aching bones I'm tired' and started off - puck went right by him.
As my husband said, Sundin would never have done that.

Miller came up big on the Spezza break away...which still almost went in...so that was 42 regular saves and one great big one...

I saw the hit on Connelly...he took a pretty good shot...the stuff highlights are mande out of...

Never have cared for Alfredsson...but I am sure Sudin is starting to ache as well..
