Now that contract talks between Brian Campbell and the Buffalo Sabres have been broken off, could the defenseman wind up getting traded? Well, it doesn't look like it. According to what Buffalo GM Darcy Regier told the Associated Press, no trade is imminent, adding "The focal point is to try to sign him. You never say never about anything, but the thing we'd like to do and hope to do is to sign him."

they cant afford to lose another great player like campbell
he has what this team needs - an offensive defenseman who can maneuver around guys like they werent there. he has impressed me this season and im glad hes showing the sabres in the all star game (mind u hes the only one...just a hint at how the season's going)
i say keep him, whatever the cost. hes still young and has lots of time to demonstrate his true talent and continue to mature. we need that spark to ignite our play again, because right now, its dead. 10 games in a row? no, and they didnt win them, either. ha, what a turnaround. imagine that last year, they started the season with 10 wins. what a flip flop. but, like they lost last year to break the streak, maybe the same will happen this year...hmmm...lets hope so....i mean, atlanta? we could whoop them (if we get some of our injured players back).
better not lose him. he is too important to this franchise. and who will they replace in the excessive sweating commercials? haha

We are losing for offense. If Campbell is what we need, why aren't we winning?
We have defense and goal tending. So what's left? Offense. If we trade Campbell for offense, we can score goals AND have some good defense.
