28.7 seconds. That's all it took for this game to go from a Buffalo loss to a Sabres victory. Trailing 6-5 with 10.7 seconds left to go in the third period, Tim Connolly scored the game tying goal. Then just 18 seconds in to OT, Ted Drury put Game 1 away by scoring on Ray Emery from the left circle. It just goes to show you, keep scratching and clawing and you never know what can happen.

I posted this morn and it didn't show - I pretty much said the same thing - WHAT A GAME! - up and down and up and down - all with minutes. The Sabres came back, then the Sens then the Sabres.
I hate to admit - I MISSED THE OVERTIME GOAL.
Who knew it would happen 18 seconds in? I saw the replay but oh to have seen it all play out, like I did the last part of that third period.
Connolly, Drury - huge. Emery wasn't so hot (27 shots and 7 goals eeeek) but the Ottawa defence was (finally) lacking.
A game won in enemy territory. So far so good.

Seriously! You could get up quick to use the facilities and refresh your ice cold beverage, and - BAM! - game over before your arse is even back in the recliner! But then I guess that's what Tivo's for...
