Basically, they have no future, this was their last chance to get close to the Cup. Next year, they will lose at least 2 of their best players, (which one will be a Flyer, Chris Drury or Daniel Briere , it doesnt matter, both will look great in the Orange and Black!) The Buffalo Sabres, Never Won a Cup, NEVER WILL! LMFAO @ all of you!

you didn't find their run exciting at all? you didn't find them to be a great team with class? didn't appreciate the skills of drury, briere, afinogenov, connolly, and vanek? just a little?
or is it the remaining bad feeling for the stinky numbers philly put in this past 06/07 season that can't allow you to see past the fog at the bottom of the pile?
we sucked in TO too - but i think buffalo rocked.
and take a place in line for mr. drury if he leaves.

no future huh? well, need i remind u where the flyers placed this season?

dont u dare tell me the sabres arent gonna make it anywhere in the future
they might not lose both, but probably 1 or the other
even so, im sure theyre gonna acquire some real good players in the offseason
y do u think that the flyers are automatically gonna get one of our guys?
there are 28 other teams out there 2 that could use players as well
and just so u no, the sabres have gotten far closer to the cup than the flyers in the past decade
believe me, they WILL win the cup
and in the seasons to come, theyre gonna OBLITERATE the horrible flyers whenever they play them

i mean seriously
dont u think the sabres are a very classy team?
theyre way better than the flyers
they have a lot more players with better skills
u guys couldnt outskate finny if ur life counted on it
and vanek can send u in a whirl of confusement
connolly has the best stickhandling
briere is always doing the right thing at the right time
and drury comes in the clutch but plays his game day in and out
mayb if u got some better players b4 next year, u might have a chance to make it to 14th place
that in itself is probably too much for u to handle

Actually, I think the Sabres just need to toughen up a little. Bring in a big defenseman like a Brendan Witt type who punishes people for going near the crease. And see maybe if they can't sign or trade for more diggers like John Tonelli and Bob Nystrom on the Islanders Cup teams.

You think of those teams, and you think of Bossy, Trottier, Potvin, but without John Tonelli, they definitely don't win the 3rd cup and maybe even less than that. And Nystrom while far from skilled, was the same type of player.

Even when the Rangers won the cup in '94, right before the deadline they traded some of the more skilled players like Mike Gartner and Tony Amonte for more grinders like Stephan Mateau.....

Who says Drury OR Briere are going anywhere??? Maybe they will, maybe they won't. I'll wait and see.
