all of u guys out there have ABSLOUTELY NO IDEA how excited i am about the great news i heard last night:
CONNOLLY AND AFINOGENOV ARE COMING BACK!!!! THIS TIME, FOR SURE!!!
connolly could be well enough to come back for a home debut against the bruins thursday. while connolly isnt in tip-top physical condition, he will still play 8-10 minutes on special teams, more if all goes well. if he isnt on the ice thursday, expect him back this weekend.
now as for finny (my favorite player of all time!!!!!!): Lindy said he looked and shot real well on monday's practice, just a little cautious. of course, he has ben able to stay in great shape bcuz he didnt have a leg injury of any sort, so if things keep improving, max will be back sometime this week, either thursday or saturday!!
DOESNT ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS IS AMAZING NEWS!?!?!? (ok maybe im going a little stir crazy but come on its exciting isnt it?)
leave me some posts: how do u think theyre gonna play? will they see a lot of ice time? has it ben 2 long sice they would finally b able to come back? is this a smart move by lindy? let me know!! but let me tell ya, i cant wait to see these two superstars back. the sabres need a boost, and i hope this propels them through the playoffs all the way to the stanley cup. COME ON SABRES!!! LETS WIN IT THIS YEAR!!!!

I, for one, can not wait to see Max back. He makes SOOO much difference for this team when he's on the ice. He is a tremendous asset to this great team just with his presence. He makes plays happen. I am looking forward to him and Zubrus playing together. Zubrus is another one that makes things happen.

i often get rly excited over things like that but i mean come on...two superstars coming back for good
and i do like connolly too...hes got great stickhandling and even when the play seems like its over, he creates something and scores a goal

and it looks like he hasnt missed a beat ever since the day of his injury
thats just how good he is
im sure his wrist strength isnt 100 percent but it will get better with time

Okay it is some good news, but why so excited? I mean Afinogenov doesn't have much points and Connolly isn't as good as he was.
It is good for us, though. We have a better first and second line maybe.

hey dude this was posted a LONG while ago but im still glad u brought it up. unfortunately theyre not looking to come back for a while which is pretty retarded - afinogenov reinjured his groin and now theres speculation this is all part of some big hoopla where finny will get traded.
i dont buy it.
finny hasnt had the great season every1 wants him to, idk if its pressure on him to be the best or hes expecting too much out of himself, but come on guys, he isnt the perfect hockey player. no one is. there are going to be dry times, sometimes an entire season at a time, where a player just doesnt show up like he did in the previous year. dont be so harsh. hes only one of my favorite players neway and has ben for a while so lay off.
btw, ne1 who thought the sabres werent gonna make it real far anytime soon better change their minds quickly. they have snatched 13 out of a possible 14 points in their last 7 games, and if that doesnt scare u, check where they are in the standings. more in my other thread.
